Days 5 & 6 - Mole plough reaches Broom Farm Cottage

Steve Foster and his mole ploughs have arrived at Broom Farm cottage. The duct is under the boundary wall and today (Wednesday August 24th, Day 6) the 2nd chamber is being dug in.

The duct digging has left barely a trace across the fields from red Scar to Broom Farm.  Nice work!

And where next .... to Crook Hall ...

Once Broom Farm chamber is dug in,  the plan is to move the ploughs to Crook Hall and dig the Route 1 fibre duct section across the fields from Crook Hall, High Leys, Low Fold and down the steep hill  to Slackberry lane.

This gives time to cut back the bracken on the steep slope leading down to Slackbury Lane. If you have a scythe and some free time please contact Andy Brown as he is assembling a team of volunteers to take back the vegetation.
