Memorial Hall goes live with gigabyte fibre in time for community event

Nick Truck, with his LIVE big map, and Jorj Haston and Hannah Robinson from B4RN, sharing the good news of progress with the Crook project at Crook Memorial Hall on Saturday afternoon.

A big thank you to Chris Conder and members of B4RN's computer club who joined the meeting remotely and Live by Zoom over the hall's brand new gigabyte fibre connection. It was a wonderful opportunity for the community to get their tech questions answered by the experts and experience the high quality connection.

And just look at the download speeds!
Time to get  Crook's computer gamers using the hall for an 'esports**' night...
(**video games played in professional competitions)

Big thank-you to our Volunteer team bakers, Mary Alcock, Judy Leigh, Mary Simm, Jen Middleton, Val, Judy Pateson, Pippa Mowat & Liz for providing a fabulous spread of cakes and biscuits
& Kath Jackson for arranging the Memorial Hall for the meeting

... thank you to Nick Truch, Dave Foster, Pete Simm, Hannah Robison and Jorj Hanson and members of the Crook Volunteer team for manning the Build Progress, Wayleaves, Dig and Fit and Investment & Requesting Service tables and being there to answer the community's questions.
